Housing Costs and Poverty in NH

A recent analysis from the Pew Charitable Trusts ranks New Hampshire 10th among states for poverty linked to housing costs. These costs contribute to 16% of overall poverty and 22% of child poverty in the state. Older adults are especially vulnerable, accounting for 40% of Granite Staters living in poverty, as rising rents can be difficult to manage on a fixed income.
