Coffee and Caregiving is Coming Up Soon!
The NHAHA Caregiving Workgroup invites you to join the next “Coffee and Caregiving Conversation” on Friday, February 13 from 8:30 – 10:00 AM (with optional networking from 10:00-10:30) in Concord, NH. The meeting will feature a short presentation on Aging and Disability Resource Center’s programs and services as well as discussion on fraud prevention, followed by a facilitated sharing of resources, and an opportunity to share the many ways in which your organization or initiative supports, aligns, and advances the support of family caregivers in NH.

Yesterday, we sent out an email seeking your insight. In a 5-question survey, you can help shape the future of aging in New Hampshire. We are asking for your input as the NH Alliance for Healthy Aging (NHAHA) begins a strategic planning process to guide our work as we move into our second decade.

Caregiver-focused Webinar
On February 19 at 12:00 PM, Brooks Coaching is holding a caregiver-focused webinar, “Take a Number! There’s No More Room on My Last Nerve!” Designed for individuals juggling caregiving, work, and home responsibilities, this session will offer simple, practical ways to respond to difficult conversations without making things worse. Participants will learn how to recognize emotional overload, respond with intention, and let go of unnecessary guilt when emotions are high.

Brain Health Conversation Café
The Alzheimer’s Association and Manchester Community Action Coalition (MCAC) are hosting a free Brain Health Conversation Café on February 19 from 5:00–8:00 PM at the MCAC Space in Manchester, NH. This welcoming event will explore what a better understanding of memory changes, anxiety, and ADHD can be. Interpretation services, transportation, and childcare are available for those who request it.

NH HCBS Workforce Community of Practice
Join the New Hampshire Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) Workforce Community of Practice, a monthly virtual forum designed to help provider leaders move from workforce “crisis mode” to collaborative, statewide solutions. Held on the third Wednesday of each month from 2:00–3:30 PM, this 90-minute session brings together executive directors, HR, and workforce leaders to share strategies, promising practices, and peer-driven problem solving across the employee lifecycle.
Video Series: Understanding Your Medicare Coverage
The Medicare Rights Center has released the first in a series of videos made in collaboration with National Council on Aging that can help you better understand your Medicare coverage and cost-saving options. The first video explains Medicare Part D drug coverage and how to choose and enroll in a plan.
Flu Recovery After 65: What to Know and How to Stay Protected
For adults age 65 and older, flu recovery can take longer and be more challenging due to age-related immune changes and chronic health conditions. Older adults face higher risks of complications such as pneumonia, hospitalization, and prolonged weakness, making prevention, early treatment, and supportive care especially important.
