Helping Older Voters Navigate NH’s Changing Voter Laws
Recent changes to New Hampshire’s voting laws are reshaping the registration and voting process for residents across the state, and older adults in particular may feel the impact. State agencies and community partners are working together to ensure older adults remain informed and supported. In November 2025, the Commission on Aging welcomed guests from the Secretary of State’s Office and the League of Women Voters NH to learn first-hand about the changes, challenges and opportunities.
A Matter of Balance
Dartmouth Health is hosting a virtual A Matter of Balance program this winter, beginning with an interactive Zoom session on February 16 from 1:00–3:00 PM. This is an award-winning, nine-session course that helps participants reduce fear of falling, improve safety, and stay active through group discussion and gentle exercises. The program will run Mondays and Wednesdays from February 16–March 10.

Beware: Real-Looking Punchbowl Phishing Scam Spreading in NH

Clicking the link can expose your email password and allow scammers to spread the scam through your contacts.
USAging Annual Report
USAging recently released their 2025 Annual Report, which highlights the efforts they have made in supporting older adults, caregivers and people with disabilities; strengthening communities; and advancing the Aging Network.
Chronic Illness Is Common in Retirement
Nearly 93% of Americans age 65 and older have at least one of 12 chronic conditions such as asthma, arthritis, cancer, kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and obesity, according to a 2025 study, making health management a central part of retirement. Experts emphasize regular wellness visits, medication review, physical activity, and social connection as practical ways to maintain function and quality of life.
