Spring Forward Safety Check
Now that Daylight Saving Time has begun, it’s a great opportunity for older adults and caregivers to review home safety. Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, replace batteries if needed, and double-check emergency contact information to ensure everyone stays prepared.

Virtual Info Session: Learn About AmeriCorps Funding Opportunities
AmeriCorps offers yearly planning grants of up to $50,000 for organizations interested in launching an AmeriCorps program to address pressing community needs across NH. The 9- to 12-month grant period supports program design, partnership development, and service planning in areas such as housing, mental health, workforce development, food security, and aging services. Join their virtual Info Session on Friday, March 13 to learn more and explore whether this opportunity is a good fit for your organization. Even if you can’t attend live, you can register for the event to receive the recording.

Understanding Anxiety in Older Adults
Understanding Anxiety in Older Adults, an in-person workshop, will take place on April 2 from 12:30–1:30 PM at the Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway. Presented by NAMI New Hampshire as part of its six-module Side by Side program, the session will focus on the different types of anxiety and why treatment is important, stigma, and explore resources.

Webinar: Aging Network Innovation Conversation
On Tuesday, March 24, from 2:00–3:00 PM, ACL’s National Caregiver Support Collaborative (NCSC) will host a conversation with the Pima Council on Aging (PCOA) on practical, innovative approaches to supporting family caregivers. Speakers will share insights on funding strategies, partnerships, outreach, and sustaining caregiver initiatives, followed by a live Q&A.

NH State Commission on Aging Meeting
The next NH State Commission on Aging meeting will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the NH Hospital Association in Concord. The public is welcome to attend in person or via Zoom.
Resources and Insights for Solo Agers
Aging without close family or built-in support systems, often called “solo aging,” can bring both independence and unique challenges. The Solo Aging Center offers helpful resources and insights, including findings from a 2025 project with solo agers in rural Maine, exploring their experiences, concerns, and strengths.
Better Caregiving for All Webinar Series
The UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Program, with support from the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation, hosts Better Caregiving for All, a monthly virtual webinar series focused on expanding access to dementia caregiver education. Each session is offered live on Zoom and available on demand, with content centered on the experiences and needs of communities often overlooked in traditional caregiver training.
