Copeland, RDN, LD, will explain how everyday food choices can influence lab results and signal the need for dietary changes. You can attend virtually from home or via livestream at the Aging Resource Center at Dartmouth Health.
National Center on Elder Abuse Seeking Elder Justice College Ambassadors
The National Center on Elder Abuse is recruiting undergraduate students to raise awareness on campus about elder abuse. Ambassadors serve from November 2025 to July 2026, attend monthly virtual trainings, and lead outreach efforts.
DEA Medication Take Back Day is October 25
Clear out your medicine cabinet and help prevent prescription drug misuse during the next DEA Medication Take Back Day on October 25. This nationwide event offers a safe, anonymous way to dispose of expired or unused medications, including controlled substances.

Keene’s City Bus to Offer FREE RIDE WEEK October 20-24
Throughout the month of October, which is NH Community Transportation Month, Keene’s City Express and other transportation services from Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services are teaming up with the New Hampshire Transit Association (NHTA) to highlight the various forms of public and community transportation available in Keene, NH. FREE RIDE WEEK will take place October 20 – 24, 2025 and will be available for the City Express, Friendly Bus, and Medical Transportation.
Learn to Communicate at Every Stage of Dementia
As people living with dementia lose the ability to use words, caregivers must find new ways to connect. On October 22, a free webinar from the Alzheimer’s Association, The Empowered Caregiver: Communicating Effectively, will explore how dementia affects communication and how person-centered strategies can help at every stage.
