Clear, coordinated communication plays an essential role in advancing healthy aging across New Hampshire. The Communications Committee brings together communications professionals and partners from organizations throughout the state to strengthen messaging, share resources, and amplify the collective efforts of those working to improve the lives of older adults.
Amplifying the Story of Healthy Aging in New Hampshire
The Communications Committee supports NHAHA’s mission by strengthening communication strategies and increasing visibility for issues that affect older adults and communities across the state.
Our work focuses on:
- Promoting thoughtful messaging about aging that reflects research-based approaches such as Reframing Aging and helps address ageism in the way we talk about growing older.
- Elevating the voices and experiences of older adults so their perspectives are included in storytelling, public conversations, and decision making at the local and state level.
- Increasing awareness of healthy aging issues in New Hampshire, including regarding the systems and services that support people as they age.
- Highlighting the work of partners and organizations across the state that are advancing healthy aging in their communities.
How the Committee Works
The Communications Committee collaborates to strengthen communication efforts from NHAHA and its partners. Together, we:
- Share and amplify messages, resources, and campaigns through our organizations’ communication channels.
- Provide feedback and ideas to strengthen NHAHA communications, including the website, newsletter, and social media.
- Identify opportunities to align messaging and elevate shared priorities.
The Communications Committee supports NHAHA’s collective impact approach by helping partners speak with a stronger, more unified voice about the opportunities and challenges of aging in New Hampshire.
We welcome new participants and perspectives in this work.
