The NH Alliance for Healthy Aging (NHAHA) Direct Care Workforce Workgroup is hosting a virtual meeting the first week of October for direct care workers in New Hampshire. If you are a home health aide, personal care attendant, certified nursing assistant, direct support professional, job coach or other worker who supports older adults and their families, NHAHA would like to hear from you.

The meeting will foster a discussion meant to encourage the development of a New Hampshire Direct Care Workforce Council. The purpose of creating a council is to provide a platform for direct care workers to inform policy and advocacy; identify training and mentoring needs; elevate the value and respect of the profession; provide a professional network; and solve issues facing the profession.

The meeting is designed solely for direct care workers and will be facilitated by direct care workers.

Please share this downloadable flyer with peers and direct care worker networks.

To accommodate as many schedules as possible, we are asking for feedback about the best time for the meeting in the registration form. Please register and share your availability for select dates as well as sign up to receive updates on the Direct Care Worker Council. The day and time that works for most will be chosen on September 23rd and meeting information will be sent to all those that registered. A report out of the meeting will be posted to the NHAHA website following the meeting.
