Welcome to this week’s “AHA Moments,” a weekly news flash regarding key events, happenings, articles, and other relevant information for our stakeholders.

NH Residents Impacted by Health Plan Marketing May Qualify for Special Enrollment

The New Hampshire Insurance Department is urging residents who enrolled in health plans marketed by Innovative Partners or American Collective in 2026 to review their coverage and explore Marketplace options. Following an FTC lawsuit alleging deceptive marketing practices, a Special Enrollment Period is open through August 10, 2026, for affected consumers to enroll in comprehensive health insurance coverage.
If you believe you were impacted, contact the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596 or visit HealthCare.gov to determine your eligibility and secure coverage.

Expanded Support for Family Caregivers

A recently signed law expands support for grandparents, relatives, and other family caregivers across New Hampshire. The legislation improves access to childcare scholarships for retired grandparents and eligible kinship caregivers, eliminates certain childcare cost-sharing requirements for children in kinship care, and seeks to expand caregiver supports such as training, counseling, peer support, and caregiver assessments.
